WE ESTABLISH THE LAW

Antidisestablishmentarianism. The longest word in the Enlish language has to do with being against disestablishing the church as the state church. We do believe in the separation of state and church, but only in the sense that no one church denomination is to be the state church. We do not, however, believe in the separation of God's law from the state. We believe in establishing the law as part of the legal establishment.

ACT 26:20 "but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance."

ROM 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

ISA 2:2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.

MIC 4:1 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it.

2 Many nations shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

MAT 5:17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.

18 "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

19 "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

2SA 7:16 "And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever." ' "

ACT 20:21 "testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

ACT 17:30 "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

The law of Moses is the law of God. This law was the basis for the laws of the early United States. It is to be established as the law for all nations. We are not talking about the letter of it, but the spirit of it. The principles of God's law are to be applied and established as the law of each and every nation. This goodness of God will lead all men towards repentance because the law is our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. Yes. You can legislate righteousness. The law cannot save us, but its function is to bring us to the one who can save us. Without the knowledge of sin, we would not come to Christ. This knowledge comes only by means of the law.
